Lisa is a Johannesburg-based photographer who specialises in taking photographs of pregnant women, newborn babies and babies. She also takes on projects that include children and families.

When I look at a pregnant woman, I see the most beautiful, perfect form. The promise she carries in her belly stirs a passion within me that drives me to try and capture it in the most emotive way. When that innocent life, all new and wrinkled, is brought to me, I want to preserve its fresh, pure image exactly as it is. I try to capture the emotions we feel on camera so that whenever we look at the pictures, we feel a tug at our hearts. No matter the stage of your child’s development, I want to create portraits that are true to who your child is – and in so doing, preserving a little piece of them forever.
